NCB Transformation

The Client

Our client is Nile Commercial Bank – an indigenous commercial bank in South Sudan providing banking services to a wide range of customers.

The Objective

The client’s vision is to position themselves as the leading bank in South Sudan, and compete with international banks operating in the region.

In line with their vision, they required a software company that could understand their needs and provide comprehensive solution and support, as and when required.

The Challenge

The client was facing technological difficulties in migrating their legacy systems to Core Banking System. The absence of Core Banking posed several challenges, such as:

  • Manual management of operations and transactions, incurring higher maintenance costs
  • Lack of inter-branch connectivity, reducing operational efficiency
  • Poor customer service, as the customers couldn’t carry out transactions in branches other than the one that maintained their accounts
  • Lack of a robust Management Information System (MIS)
The Solution

We undertook extensive research to understand the client’s requirements and provided a customized Core Banking Software (CBS), which improved efficiency of banking processes, in a period of four months. It also offered inter-branch connectivity and enhanced transparency.

In addition, we provided in-depth training to the staff about the functionalities and applications of the solution. Nile Commercial Bank is the first indigenous bank in South Sudan to be connected to the EFT switch, with a formal launch on 3rd March, 2014.

The Benefit

Our solution has enabled the client to offer enriched customer experience through comprehensive and more personalized banking services. This has driven a tremendous growth in the organization, with an increased customer base.
